Done anything to the rear valance? Attacked it with a hole saw? Reduce weight and drag?

Why would you need to fork out loads of money for rear arms if you went for a cut down subframe arangement?

It's the radius arms that are the heavy bit on the rear subframe. That's why I have a nice pair of KAD alu rear arms waiting to go on my car (if I ever finish it). On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:
i tried putting soap on it , and heating it to brown , then slathered my new lube on it

Also, you need the valance closing panels if you are having a standard subframe as they form part of the structure that attaches it to the body. No MOT tester worth his salt will let it go through with out them. Edited by apbellamy on 5th Jun, 2011. On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

Is it A-Series only? I think it should be... So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'... On 26th Oct, 2004 Tom Fenton said:

Can't find the picture though but im sure it was one of the European guys. You would at least save weight this way removing all the excess grease thats in the arms as a resut of split grease tubes

There are a few places that a rear subby can have holes, you could remove the rear section amd replace it with some tube, then mount the exhaust abit higher and fit a diffuser if you wanted Drives
