I'm going to be replacing the standard boggo 3 clock dash and adding new gauges for the turbo build - digital speedo & tacho, AFR, boost, accurate water temp, oil pressure, good petrol gauge too etc

So i was wondering were the best place to get them is? I ideally want them to be all the same style and look. Something a bit classy - not changing colours every two seconds, but also modern and not Smiths style.

Is there a company that does the whole shebang that i could get them all from or do I need to go traipsing around looking for the same gauges from different companies?

Pictures of what you guys have done would be marvellous too dash and gauge wise, save me looking through every build thread.

Stoke-on-Trent. Duck.

A little different to what you're after I think, but I too wanted to keep things simple;

Stack tacho with speedo readout mounted on the top dash rail, auxiliary gauges mounted on the steering column.

Thats looks awesome Simon!

Whats the Koso like to wire in? Have you got any additional sensors hooked up to it?

The Koso is dead easy to wire in (pretty sure you can download a manual to look at before buying too), the only extra bit you need is the adaptor for the speedo cable which converts the rotational signal to an electronic one, I actually got mine free with the dash too.

It also comes with 2 temp sensors for water and oil, I havent used either as I have the AEM water gauge, and I havent yet drilled/tapped a hole for oil temp. It also has a fuel level gauge.

I have the extra switches, big red power cut off on the right, the smaller red switch is for the MJ & ignition coil, the green switch is power for all the gauges so that should a low battery arise I can start the car with all gauges off to save a bit of power.

Ah thats quite good then.

So theoritcally I could get away with a wideband, oil pressure and boost gauge along with the Koso.

Do you have to click through the displays to see water/oil temp.

I take it typically you have speed and rpm displayed?

i'll have to dig out the manual on the temp readouts, but i think your right you have to press a button to switch between them.

normal driving you have rpm obviously as the big needle, and a digital speed reading on the LCD, as well as your mileage/and a fuel/temp gauge etc

edit, also top right of the gauge that round blob is a shift light with 2 settings, orange 'warning rpm', red 'you probably should have changed by now rpm'.

With the Koso you can switch between various views, ie fuel level and water temp, oil temp and water temp, fuel level and oil temp.

The only problem with the Koso is that it sounds like it's in the country illegally...

the AEM gauges are brilliant, anyone with a UEGO will know how accurate they are, if a little too accurate, but their other gauges are just as good, spot on and very reliable.

You can even use some AEM boost gauges as a map sensor up to 35psi boost !!!

The Autometer gauges might fit the bill, these are easier to get here in NZ than Smiths so was considering using these in my dash (don't know about UK) , Still have that old classic look.
