Hi all, Im thinking of putting the tv on the chimney breast, more so as its a 42" and looks a sod wedged in the little alcove next to it,

we had this issue with a project a few years back. The client wanted his TV sitting above a living flame fire and the AV installers advised against it because of the heat. The client went ahead with it anyway and 4 years later we've had no issues |

We had an LCD TV 32" in a cabinet at work - okay it was on everyday during the week 9-5 it went bang after about 14 months due to the heat build up apparently! On 5th Sep, 2011 Vegard said:
