I saw and read the artical in minworld or minimag about converting a standard subframe into a rear beam, i would like to try and do this but cant find any more info apart from the artical, is there any point in converting the original to save money or save to get a beam from somewhere??

Any info on beams people have used would be brilliant and to stop any confusion i will be using coilovers as i dont want to use cones

cheers paul

I spent ages making one, but realised that another 2.5kg could be saved making one from scratch so threw it away and started again.

Andywaller had a cut down subby on his,

IIRC, he just chomped off all the back part, then solid mounted it the the heel board in a few places and ditched the rubber bits at the ends.
