use a slide Hammer & pull the grills out heaps it will fit & you wont need to chop. |

I tried the slide hammer last night and I am not convinced that I could move it enough. So I cut the hole where it needed to be and I will strengthen it but I am not exactly sure how yet as the fan protrudes quite a bit. But clears the wheel ok.

normally, as with the late type minis, they have a hole in but with a lip all around, all my friends have ever done is cut the hole out for the fan and then put the lip in to keep the strengh, not sure if that helps...

Thanks ministef that was the first part of my plan, to make a lip round the hole and then see if I need to make some kind of brace bar but was concerned about space and I have lent my welder out at the moment.
