Hey guys so im not 100% on what Im left to buy, so far I have the following:

bare 1293cc bottom end with turbo pistons (all built up)
turbo oil pump
gearbox
turbo head
plenum with dump valve
injection fuel tank
t2 turbo
2" Exhaust System
Mk1 Metro dizzy, ht leads, rotor arm, dizzy cap, coil (and some other wires and a big black sensor looking thing *tongue*)

here is a pic of the engine block so you can see what I mean:

Here is a pic of the dizzy and stuff that I bought ( I think its complete ignition system apart from the spark plugs? )

Whilst I was at work I compiled this list:

Altenator
belts
oil
t2 flange
spark plugs
bolts
gaskets
bell housing
carb
inlet
exhaust manifold
downpipe
fuel line
fuel regulator
flywheel
clutch
rockers
radiator
water pump
brake servo
samco hoses
intercooler
boost piping
boost controller
boost gauge

I want to have the engine built up so I can simply swap my old 998 over and have the car off the road for the minimum amount of time.

If you have a rough idea of costs that would be great *happy*

Cheers

Craig

King Gaycharger, butt plug dealer, Sheldon Cooper and a BAC but generally a niceish fella if you dont mind a northerner

Rotherham, South Yorkshire

you need a fuel pressure regulator.

Is that a turbo dizzy? the black box bolts to the side. A quick search on the model number of the dizzy (stamped on the side) will tell you if it is or not.

Andy, Craig.

It's a firkin Mk 1 turbo dizzy boys, I sold it and the number is spot on (41932A). So is the blue original cap and (if you check it out) is the blue rotor arm.

The amplifier module (the correct term for that black lump), usually goes on a thick aluminium plate on the early Metty turbos, bolted behind the grille and rad in the airflow stream to cool it. I couldn't supply that to Craig so he'll either need to make one or get one from somewhere.

The later model dizzys indeed have a smaller amplifier bolted to the side with heat transfer grease and two tiddly screws, not this one.

Trust me, that dizzy is fine.

Richard.

Minivanless, but reluctantly happy living with the decision. There'll be another one day.

Edit: Is there anything else I need to add to my list?

Cheers

I can see rocker cover, oil filter and oil pressure switch/gauge missing from the picture/list :)

Also thermostat and housing ive just noticed. most of these bits you can nick off the 998 lump when it comes out though if you intend to keep it lying around as a spare

yeah I did but I wanted to try and keep the 998 as complete as possible so if I needed to swap it back or what ever then its not a problem

You need an oil feed line to the turbo.
