I would have thought on the move it wouldnt be noticably differnt, you will have to cooling air from driving and the air from the rad will be forced backwards to the back of the wheel arch i belive. Please correct me if i am wrong Drives

Road tyres don't really get much gripper with heat, rather thay get less. Unlike a race tyre they have to have grip from cold.

as per will, i found my best 60ft times at crail (an unprepared drag strip) were with stone cold road tyres :) turbo 16v k-series 11.9@118.9 :)
