hi guys,

quick question, is the plenum held to the carb with just to plain old bolts? as thats how mine came, and thought it was odd. i mean there is a gasket between the plenum itself and the carb, but those two bolts the hold it all together have no washer no "gasket" nothing, its just the bolt head against the back of the plenum.

cheers

Mine had some rubbery gaskets arround the bolt heads i dont belive this was stock and there should be a gasket between the carb and plenium-be-dum-erus

the gasket between plenum and carb should prevent all leakage

Throtel will be open on boost when its not the excess boost will be relised through the bov (recomended to fit on for longer life of the turbo and carb)

If you look inside the plenum, you can see the bolts go through tube or the plenum body. The holes are not open to boost so you won't get any leaks.

oh i see...

the reason i was asking is because i get no boost. the boost gauge reads, 0.5 bar, but i don't feel anything. so i thought it might be leaking through there. i do think the head gasket isnt quite right, but still have to confirm this. will that cause it?
