Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

Im going to be "hopefully" running a fair bit of power and torque (read as alot all being well! *happy*).

Also going to be running an LSD

What can the pot joints take?

I know the MBE kits are literally unbreakable but that comes at a cost.

If pot joints can take the power if well maintained then thats what ill go for.

*smiley*

what ever joints match your diff lol

I'd go for pots.. not broken one myself... a few people have but that seems to be when they are shock loaded, such as off road use!

hey, remeber that picture of Wil/Ben H's pot joint?

That were impressive!!!

Anyway, Stop dreaming about your power Iain*laughing*. Pot joints work for almost everyone here I reckon. Anyone know what MW uses? without question he has the most power - and uses it!

Never broken a pot joint, including autograss racing giving them plenty of abuse.

If you think about it they are inherently in a better situation as they only have to articulate "up" and "down" whereas the CV joints have to go "up" "down" and steer as well.

Have bust a few cv joints though.....

All the "disc" brake type cv joints are the same afaik.

So either cooperS or later mini are the ones to use. The drum type are smaller and more easily broken.
I think from memory the metro ones are the same as well if you have got some kicking about.
Whatever you use just make sure there is no lash in them, and then wash them out and repack with fresh good quality grease.

Nope, you can get what you like *smiley*

HS ones are thicker in the shaft therefore stronger but it seems common opinion that the pot joint ones are up to the job unless grassing/rallying etc.

Had hardy spice years ago take up more room under car, exhaust clearance was tight with a lcb dunno what it will be like with a turbo pipe
