Looking to purchase straight cut drop gears and was after opinons / recommendations for brands ?

I don't think I've heard how much noise they make. Would you need ear plugs with 23/30/23 ? (stripped out interior) |

SC drops are not nice for long journeys.

If you don't like the noise you could always use helicoil drops on a sc gearset, robert is using this set up on over 200horses, this is what I am using but not yet drove the car
Audi s4 b5 - 470bhp & 486ft lbs

You should hear the gearbox a bit benny but I reckon it should be fairly quiet. If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of. |

To my mind it will be the same sound as when driving in first with the standard box, only with every gear st cut. one day boost will be mine!

Is it me or dont you use SC drops because there stronger than 'helicoil'? .... |

Helicoils are actually stronger due to the larger surpface area, sc items reduce side load Audi s4 b5 - 470bhp & 486ft lbs
