My google-fu must be weak today, I've been trying to find people who have bucket seats and harnesses in an Estate or Van but haven't found anything definitive.
I've been thinking of the Jon Betts harness bar (the one that attaches to the rear arches); drop the rear seats down and Bob's your uncle.

So is there anyone on here with an estate/van and harnesses? Show me how you've mounted 'em.

If there is no where suitable, maybe something like this would be good

I'll see if I've got a pic of mine.

Mine's caged though, so I added a bar between the turrets.

Too many projects!

Cheers JP.

@George91: they will do the job but it is still the question of where to mount them.
I still think the rear arches are the best bet but I'm going to have to do some measuring with some tubular bar and a harness to see what sort of angle they're going to be at.

Just a bump to see if anyone else can help me with any ideas.

I had harnesses in my estate road car about 10 yr ago. From memory I welded a piece of box section the width of the car in somewhere below the rear seat base/back then attached them to that.

Cheers Tom.

I'm going to have a to do a bit of fiddling I think... then I'll do some work on the car.

Remember harnesses have an optimum angle for mounting, its something like 45°, 60° and basically flat from the seat holes do a quick search just to be on the safe side *smiley*

No more than 45 degrees below horizontal and no more than 10 degrees above.
I believe that is it.
Will do some measuring when I've got time and a harness. Sort out length and angle.
