My google-fu must be weak today, I've been trying to find people who have bucket seats and harnesses in an Estate or Van but haven't found anything definitive.

I had harnesses in my estate road car about 10 yr ago. From memory I welded a piece of box section the width of the car in somewhere below the rear seat base/back then attached them to that.

Remember harnesses have an optimum angle for mounting, its something like 45°, 60° and basically flat from the seat holes do a quick search just to be on the safe side Drives

No more than 45 degrees below horizontal and no more than 10 degrees above.
