something to note , in my experience , if you go to to big a hole ,then the viton tips can get stuck ,and create all sorts of fuel deivery probs . i used a high flow needle from avonbar ,it leaked ,and i could blow through it ,so they sent another ,...it leaked ,and in the end used a turbo rebuild kit one ,which turned out to bigger than the high flow ones ,and was not viton aficr.

In that case, I'll have a look in my box of carb bits. Not sure what sizes I have , but all the ones I have are the same size and likely turbo.

They won't be new, but none leaked when in use.

My last turbo carb rebuild kit came with one in it. Seems to seal with the valve drilled slightly.

How big did you drill it ?

I went for 0.125" as standard is 0.090"

To be honest I can't remember! I do remember they aren't the same size all the way through. I drilled it all slighty larger and made it the same size all the way through if that makes sense.

Not very accurate way of doing it but it sorted my problem at the time!

drilling the hole can cause problems if the edge isnt perfect. Although the viton tipped valves will stand more chance of sealing than a plain brass.

Although you can try and lap a brass one in with some valve grinding paste ( and clean thoroughly afterwards )

I think the std valve can be taken to around 2.8mm at most before the valve falls into the hole.

A lot of Weber ones are around 3.0mm

9.85 @ 145mph
202mph standing mile
speed didn't kill me, but taxation probably will
