I'm removing my brake servo & rerouting my fuse box to the dashboard thus running the wires between the dash & the bulkhead.

It takes a lot of doing to get them hidden.

I have seen washer bottles and wiper motors moved inside the cabin, i want to try and have as much wireing as possible hidden out of the way, with a steel front personally its easyer to hide wireing. I would love mine to end up looking like the engine isnt wired up looks proper cool imo Drives

on my old yukon grey 7 port car I made the loom come down the wheel arches along the inner wing, both sides then into the bay from underneath. This kept thefront very uncluttered.Washer bottle in boot, fuse box behind dash etc, also a power distrubution post behind the dash as well. pre engaged starter helps as there is no extra solenoid etc. - it takes time but is worthwhile. Goldies engine bay is that full of stuff a few extra wires don't make any difference! but on a sparse engine bay its a good look If Carling made Mini engines

sometimes its problibly faster to rip the lot out and start again when trying to hide wires, but it depends on how far you want to go 13.95 1/4 mile on a 2.95 fd. Carnt be that hard to beat! |

I'll definitely be taking all available wires and trying to re-route them whilst the engines out. The car is going to be more 'function' than 'form' so im not going to go overboard, but i'll try to get it as tidy as possible. It doesn't help that i'll also be keeping the servo. Re-routing the washer bottle also seems hassle given the time i'll be trying to complete the build in (and the fact it works perfectly well where it is at the moment. May however try fitting it under the drivers side wing with an access funnel cut into the inner wing to see how much is left and for topping up. We'll see how it goes. |

I can't get pics hosted of mine yet but I have hidden mine in the inner wing then they go into the slam panel to the other side the only wires you can really see is the coil wires but megajolt should be fitted by next year. |
