Excuse the newb! But,

Do I have to have something special for the rollcage padding, or at risk of sounding like a bit of a cheapskate/bodger, can I use that insulating padding for pipes you can get from B&Q and the likes. The padding on ours looks a smilar size as two of these, cut open and then zip tied.

I hope I've made some sense?!

think that stuff on there is pucka gear i reckon. pipe insulation isnt half as large a diameter as that stuff.

The proper stuff is available from Demon Tweeks or similar. Its very expensive.

Call me a cheapskate if you like but I use pipe cladding from B&Q............better than nothing I suppose??

I was offered a discount for my club, but not on mail order, so I think I have a mate fairly close. Need to patch a few things up first, club politics and so on *wink*

Bloody hell you have done well then, I spent over 2 grand there over about 4 months once when prepping a rally car for a customer, and couldn't even get some free stickers out of the miserable *^%$!

Seriously?! Someone else set it up for me, it's probably something like 1% off every ten pounds on every order over a million or something.

Iain - politics every way you turn in the VW scene. That's why I love this place so much already! No offence to anyone 'over there', I love that too, but hardly anyone goes out their way to helpful or friendly.

Croydon Race and Rally or Merlin Motor Sport...

Miles cheaper!

You DO want padding and I suppoes B&Q pipe lagging is better than nothing ...

But the stuff you want is proper padding for roll cages, its shapped so that its thinner on one side (fits beween cage and car better) and thicker on the side people sit!

Its also clever stuff thats impact absorbing... soft when pressed gently, hard when compressed at speed!

Also it avaible in lots and lots of pretty colours!
