I get the Ferris Beuller reference. Just wondering what Robert is actually looking for?

Metros use standard 60° taper nuts as found on post-84 Minis. Metric is for people who can't do fractions. |

He needs the ones with a shank and a flat washer under the head of the nut, similar to revolution nuts or the ones on minilife/force racing wheels. On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

You need the shanked nut as the thread doesn't stick out much beyond the flat for the nut in the wheel.

like these rod ? Unfortunately not - similar to the middle and right ones in the photo insomuch as they have the seat bit free to rotate on the nut bit, but mine have a 45 degree taper on the seat bit. I guess from what the others have said, mine must have been a Mk2. Schrödinger's cat - so which one am I ??? |

I'm sure a man of your calibre Robert could modify some other nuts to suit.

Any nuts like these can be turned down to fit: ![]() yes ,trouble is my rev ones have a far thinner shank . rod , do your tapered ones lend themselves to having the taper turned off to create a shank of 16.5mm?
