Hiya i recently started thinking about turbos again and one thing that has always bugged me is that the turbo gets un filtered oil. And as i have taken a few turbo's off other cars as doners i have found that these appear to be non filtered. Is there a reason for this and has anyone plumbed theres into anywhere else.

james, if you look my friend the oil take off point for the turbo from the block is in the main gallery and filterd oil.

but if you are a real petrol head it would not hurt to place an inline specialist filter in there if you wish ?
