As topic, Ive Just bought a boot lid with a Lucus WFT576 attached, Im really struggling, the nut is siezed solid & there isn't anything to grab onto at the other end (below), Ive soaked it in oil and tried allsorts, ideally I dont want to destroy either part.

Anyone got any experience with one of these?

Cut the nut off if probibly going to be your best bet

Do you have an impact drill atall? And have you tried wedging something inbetween for abit of leaverage to stop it spinning?

Could you weld a nut on the otherside??

Is it possible to partially tap the side you're trying to remove the nut, thread a bolt in, and use that as a means to put a spanner on to prevent it from spinning and get move leverage on?

use a stud extractor on the back where the hole is to hold it in place whilst unscrewing the front ?

Took some doin, but final got it off without too much damage, thanks for the suggestions
