Quick one.

Do S calipers fit with turned down 8.4" disks / drive flanges?

I believe they do. Sure my cousin had these on his last mini.

I'll ask my cousin about it and get back to you.

I used some 4 pots that was designed to be used with turned down 8.4" (old cast minispares 4 pots) on my S setup and had to make spacers to fit between the hub and the caliper, so yes, it is different :)

Yep Gary,

You'll need to ask someone with access to a lathe very very nicely if they will make you some.... ;P

If spacers are require to fit non S calipers to S Disks, doesn't this mean that the S calipers would need material removed to fit non S disks?

Ie the opposite?

Erm,

Possibly, Best thing is to grab a caliper off Paul and try it, you should be able to see what the difference is pretty easily,

If the caliper does need material removed, what would probably be easier is to take a bit off the drive flange where it contacts the CV joint thus mowing the disk (and the wheel) inwards, robert did this to tame torque steer,

What was that you said the other day about non standard parts! PMSL!!

I know! Lol

I've got the callipers from Paul, but without turning the discs down first, it's difficult to see if it'll work.

All I'm trying to do is avoid having to buy a new set of outer CVs and disks as I've got S drive flanges in the garage.

Ok,

You want the discs munched down so you can size it up then?
