yep she passed the dreaded annual mot and she is now taxed.

my missus has took her out and by the smile on her face i can see some arguments coming on who's driving.

i think the dump valve put a big smile on her face.

we wnet for a cruise down the duelly every thing went well except for some very hot engine temps after a while (98 deg hot).
but i think thats down to only 18 deg total advance which is locked at the moment, this should be addressed on the 11 april when i go to the rollers and i can crank some more deg, psi and a drop less fuel so fingers crossed.

mind you looks like i will have to fit my external rad tomoz just to help a bit.

why only 18 degrees? you'll not damage your engine at 25 (locked) so why not advance it a little?

when i spoke to ray at the rolling road and told i would have to run 9.8:1 cr for the moment, he sugested 18 deg to be totaly safe until we got her to the rollers.

had a near miss with my home made head dave.

she started fine and ran as sweet aas a nut , turned her off, went to start her again and a shit load of steam porred out of the exhaust .
she blew a hole through number 3 chamber near the exhaust valve just as well she wernt running when that happened as number 3 was full of water.

so chucked on my modded na mg head for now and have started the laborious task all over again at work.

Even so, i'd have thought that if you were running no more than a few psi it'd take more. still, safe than sorry and all that!

Minis finally cleared customs approval today. Going to try and get mine titled tomorrow! We'll see!

yep ray recons it would proberly end up at least 24 - 26 deg advance running max proberly 6 psi for safety, especially with a rather higher than normal cr, mind you it does pull bloody well from the mark, even in forth doing 30 mph you can floor it and she pulls nicely then boost comes in at about 2100 rpm when hot and she is away.

but she does feel flat when cruiseing on a feathered pedal but i recon thats down lack of advance but under boost she feels fine but a bit flat again after 4000 rpm.

but still touch wood next monday all will be fine.

it will be interesting to see what she gets at the flywheel, she had 102 bhp in NA mode with a 37/29 rimflows and gurtain ports.

now she is 36/29 rimflows tickle ports standard chambers running max 6psi i recon about 116- 120 at the flywheel would do other people think buy the way its a 1380.

oh buy the way boost problem was the actuator it was shagged i got 12 lb was recoreded before the spindle moved when i used a set of fishing scales weres a good one was 15-16 lb. beaware this is not phematic pressure and i only used that as a guide but it worked.

not this time round thats for sure, the one to beat is to well sorted for me i recon, the red rocket is truely sorted motor mind you he will still get a blue and gold blurry thing comes shooting past lol.
