thought i would start this thread which hopefully hasnt been done before (apologys if it has) and should prove to be quite useful for nicking ideas!

whats the best mod you have made to your mini? obviously turboing it! but im talking about the little things that make life easier

ill start off, noticed this today and its what gave me the idea for this thread, fitting braided flexi hoses from the master cylinder to pda valve on bulkhead on a late servo assisted mini, made ripping the engine out 100 times easier as i didnt need to disconnect the brakes, just unbolt servo, disconnect from pedal and lift it out of the way

The first thing (and the only thing so far) to go in the frog is a bright blue rollcage, looks awesome and its not even properly in yet!!

For looks:
Rims! Love them they transform the car!
Custom dashboards, wouldnt ever own a mini without making a taylored dashboard for it again.
Tinted windows: Ace security - you can be sat in the car and people stand staring at your car, and dont even know your there. Flashing the lights is a right laugh when they get close.

For reliability/power:
Moving the air filter to front of car.
Running it on wetter watter chemical stuff.
Regulally putting in redex to run through the system.
Changing to a bleed valve rather than MBC

best thing I ever did to mine was to bin the MED engine and ask turbodave if I could move in with him so we could build my engine together, next best thing is mapped ignition

The best thing I done, copied it from a mates mini was "french" the rear number plate into the boot lid by about 3" by making a tray tha same size as the plate and welding it in.Had a drop down false plate aswell

Ain't seen this about since

stowmaket suffolk

fit my fibre glass flip front, takes only seconds to remove and bad backs and sore head when dont no longer keep banging it on the wings or bonnet.

ps also makes it easier to reove engine if you cant shift that damn gearchange roll pin.

welded nuts on the engine mounts

always looking for them bigger bunches of bannanas
