With all the talk of cinquecento rads recently does anybody happen to know what size the thread is for the temp sensor hole? I could buy a temp sensor, but they are expensive so I might make a bung.

Seconded on the M22x1.5, i'd imagine there will be a bung already available on the market as its a very common sender/switch thread size.

The rad that I got off eBay came with the bung already in it, which was a bonus.

Thanks for that I will hunt one down or make one. The best I have found one on ebay is £15.

My fan will be controlled by the megasquirt so no need for a switch, although I could run it in parallel which might be nice.

Absolutely brilliant service.

There are loads of sensors about with the same thread. Rod S gave me this link which shows details on most sensors. Then just put the part number into ebay. I think the van runs one from a renault as it had the most suitable switch temps.

Thanks for the link. The fiat ones are pricey, but I have now found some for 7 notes so it is a no brainer really.
