Hi i have a gearset for a remote change gearbox.

WILL NOT FIT rod change - hence why i'm selling it.

I'll put pics up on Tuesday when it comes back from my engine builder.

£250 or offers

Gents, i got my gearset back today and was able to take a few pics and ask some more questions.

I'll freely admit i dont know masses about gearboxes.

Its a remote change gear kit and uses a different layshaft tapered rather than step change.

unknown make but my engine builder who has been building race minis for the last 40 years, thinks they might be an original spec item.

4 synchro, very little if any use all teeth look perfect there are the following numbers stamped on the gears

E-3A103
E-3A104
E-3A105

I hope that means more to you than it does me.

As said above i'm looking for around £250.

I cannot understand why you claim that it's a remote change set based on those pictures.

Isn't the reverse gear idler the only thing that changed when the selector type changed? As that doesn't seem to be present I can't see how you can tell.

If its pre A+ it wont go into an A+ case without modification. This could be causing the confusion

I seriously doubt it!
