This is likely a very stupid question, but i'v had a search but can't find the answer i'm looking for.

You need over side bearings when the crank journals have been reground. Get you crank journals measured to see if they need grinding or are already under size On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

ah! Well that makes sense. My crank needs its journals regrinding so i'll get them measured and sorted properly.

Thanks for clearing that pu if you speak to the machine shop your about to use, ask them to re grind + whatever with bearings to match? i gave my machine shop some part numbers and 7am next day had some bearings ( cheaper than i could buy too) Yes i moved to the darkside |

Will do. I'll make sure they supply the bearings to match the regrind.
