I am looking for people to register their interest here and if sufficient I will book and organise.

Seeing as quite a few people have been pushing into the 13's at Avon this year I think it only fitting we have an RR day to see how much the average power figure has gone up.

I have had a quick PM chat with Darren Bourne from Mini Magazine and they are keen to feature another TM RR event.

The rolling road session will be on Saturday 1st October 2011 followed by (for those who wish to) camping and RWYB at Santa Pod.

The weekend falls when Santa Pod are hosting a "Saturday Night Special" so drag racing in the dark is on the cards! Hopefully we will get to see some flame spitting mini's!

The RR session will be held at:-
RGS Motorsport
Unit 72
Leyland Trading Estate
Irthlingborough Road
Wellingborough
Northants
NN8 1RT

http://www.rgs-motorsport.co.uk (The site is currently being updated)
https://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/RGS-Motor...167455403275701

The cost is £40 per car for the shootout, this includes a few power runs and a printout to take home.
RGS also have the facilities to weigh our cars so that we can work out power/weight ratios.

Should interest be sufficient a small deposit of £10 will be required to reserve your place.

There is plenty of parking on site for trailer queens, spectators are welcomed.
Also should someone wish to bring a gazebo etc along then this would be fine.

RGS will be open from around 8:30am, looking to kick off with the dyno around 10am.

Once you have been on the Dyno you can then have your car weighed, those of you that do will be eligible to win a small prize (donated by me and apbellamy) for the top 3 cars with highest power to weight ratio!

RGS will organise a bacon butty/burger van to be onsite for breakfast and a lunch break.
There is also a little Cafe/Shop over the road should you fancy an Ice Cream.

RGS’s rolling road is a Dyno Dynamics 450DS full specification available here:-
http://www.dyno.com.au/dyno/controller/pro...howAWD450DSPage

When finished at the dyno (or when you’ve had enough) we will depart for Santa Pod which is only 7 miles away, get pitched up then either watch or participate in some night time drag racing.
For those who don't muller their cars Saturday night you can sign on to have another try on Sunday.

Santa Pod entrance fees for the weekend are £15 in advance or £20 on the gate per person.
It costs £10 to sign on to between 4pm and 9pm Saturday evening and £25 to sign on for the Sunday.
You can also sign on to be a RWYB passenger for £10, so if people are willing TM thrill rides are also on the cards!

For more info and tickets for Santa Pod see: - http://www.rwyb.co.uk

RGS should be able to accommodate up to around 20 cars in the shootout.
More than happy for other types of cars to participate but priority will go to turbo a-series cars.
I for one would love to see the Ben’s mates turbo Clan again! Turbo 205's are welcome too.

I did try NMS first, however they don't host shootouts anymore. They say their new premises aren't suitable. *frown*

Put your name down rich. Like I say turbo a's will go to the top of the list but I'm sure we will have room *smiley*

Can we expect some over-ripe bananas again then?

When we had the upside down skip on the DD rollers at John Sleath, I would say it was realistic. Be a decent comparison I would say, although we've found more boost since then.
