Very good idea about the air-con, so much so I'm going to look into it...

Could you get a better photo of the condenser mounted please?

The compressor your using; is it running the v belt or the later mpi type belt?

The compressor is from a mini mini or a BMW mini?

You could run copper fridge pipe under the car and braze on the right ends for rubber tails... The flexible lines naturally pass refrigerant so it would be a benefit.

Almichie. it's a mini kit, that bolts to the A+ engine

one just sold on ebay in australia for $250

about 100 pounds, i would just buy the kit and pay for postage to uk.

one for sale in australia right now, look at the pics.

http://www.ausmini.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=72206

it uses the vbelt pulley as normal. ill get some more photo's some time.

only a small update. no juicy stuff yet.

so the car has no been re sprayed, it took longer then i had hoped & well.. i got one car to the muster but not the other.

at the moment the car is in parts been bit to busy with music lately, alot of my spare time has been fixing up things that keep cropping up on the swift mini.

so far needed new wheel bearings both sides one new hub & top & bottom ball joints both sides.

needed a good thermo fan, i wired it in & it is thermo controlled type & comes out when it hits what ever temperature the probe hits with the set dial, finally no over heating while in traffic or at the lights.

oh and i finally got my central locking kit installed :) it's great!

at the moment this is how the car looks with it's shit wheels on no doors etc had it out working on little tid bits but not much.

it's all there just needs bolting up, hopefully happen soon. :)

slight little update..

the other day i got my new front mount rad, I changed direction.

I did not want to cut the body with the other rad, 'cinquecento' as my aircon is in the way!!

The R1 Rad involves no cutting.. *happy*

ebay bargain, just getting the pipes modified & moving the cap to the back.

everything is now plumbed in & hopefully monday will fire her up for the first time :)

hey lads thanks..

learning shit as I go lol.. must stop doing updates on the iphone, I make no sense.

the radiator is a 98 to 2002 R1 alloy one core Radiator

do you guys think it will cool ok?

being a alloy rad with a steel block? enough airflow?

---- *Edit

on a side note, I need to poke that wire harness through the wing, to gain more room & tidy it up.

where do you guys do it? do you cut a small hole & re route it?
