Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

the float bowl valve is goosed or sticking, you need to strip the carb and sort things, new valve or the sticking out, i would remove the plugs and turn the engine over with the fuel supply disconected and wiss the engine over to remove the petrol after that i would change the oil

stick a bit of oil down the bores too, gthe fuel will have washed all the lubrication away.

id agree with these guys, its gona be the float valve, when you turn the pump on its blasting fuel past the valve and flooding the engine, when the pumps off the engine runs off the fuel in the float chamber.
if you want to be sure take the overflow pipe off and see if fuel comes out, simples

If it's a brown turbo clubman. You should just give it to me. I'll look after it. :)

the way its going mate it will be on fire soon!!!

ok bit more help now..... took the carb off today removed the bottom and the float is all good, i changed it alway.
now i cant get fuel through only a small trickle!!
i remove the fuel pipe and its pumps out so it must be on the carb side.

it will be the tiny little spring loaded needle valve that the float pushes on that needs looking at, there may be a bit of dirt or wear stoping it closing/ sealing.
the old trick of blowing thru the fuel in pipe while opeperating the float with your hand may help here, if you push the float up and you can still blow throgh the pipe its stuck open , if the floats down and you cant blow throgh the pipe then theres a blockage,
hope this helps, j
