Hi, i have moved to canada and its easier and cheaper for me to buy a T25 from a 200sx than a t2 R5 gt. Is the T25 a bigger turbo ie more lag and tighter in the engine bay?. Ill be fitting mirage manifolds to save myself cutting the fire wall. Its only a 998 so dont want the revs to be real high when the turbo kicks in.

im not sure as mirage said to look for a t25 off a 200sx or a T2 off a late R5. I think the T2 maybe better suited from what ive read. Anyone got a t25 fitted to their mini? |

Yep, but it's not quite the same spec as a 200sx one, and mine is a 1293 and aiming for an abundance of power. For a 998 you need to think very small. Something off a small diesel maybe. A 200sx is a 200hp car, and the turbo will flow more than that, it's a total overkill for a 998, it will be lag, lag lag lag lag start to spool, change gear. Even the T2 off an R5 is a bit big, but you could probably get away with it. |

t25 off a 200sx is miles bigger than a R5 T2. T25 froma rover coupe turbo is a bit smaller in the turbine but stil loads bigger than a t2.
turbo 16v k-series 11.9@118.9 :)

I have a turbo built around T25, when fitted to the mirage it didn't clear the block, even after a fair bit removed compressor housing and block. I am now using a r5 housing and have minimal clearance. I've had the hosing bored to accept the larger t28 wheel. Still not used it so, don't know if it will work.
