hi guys, trying to dismantle my engine today... got everything off, just need to separate the block fron the gear box. removed all the nuts, bolts etc... but the dam thing wont budge:( seems like someone used a but to much "gasket glue" any advice? really pissed at the moment. fml

Advice... Don't do it pissed.

Are you sure that all the fixings are removed? There's a couple of sneaky ones that are easily missed.

yeah mate... i have checked it a couple of times....really dont know what to do, as i dont want to pry it, as might ruin the mating...

Might sound silly but have you took off the flywheel and clutch housing?

I seriously doubt it!

I suppose the best question at this point would be how many bolts and nuts have you taken off from the back (from the timing cover, past the diff and then to where the primary cover is) then how many across the front (timing cover to primary cover) then how many inside the primary cover (unless you've removed it)?

hi guys, finnally got it off... just needed a bigger crow bar in the end.

thanks for all the help and advice. engine is fully striped now.

Levering off the idler gear is easiest I find.

i had tried the mallot... didnt even move....
