Does anybody have any experience of these? Im wondering how heavy the pedal would be compared to the usual hydraulic set up.

I've not been happy with the clutch pedal this year. Even though all new parts and setup correctly the bite point is very low. I think it would be easier to drive with the bite point sitting higher.

I take it with the mechanical set up from sh engineering the bite point could be adjusted. Its either that or go the girling master etc?

Ive not driven one but have sat in Max Hunters championship winning Mini 7 racer with one and pressed the clutch. It had a grey cover but felt like my std mk1. Max's was a home made conversion by his dad which SH copied

I seriously doubt it!

i have the SH engineering one on my car, its going to largely depend where you drill your pedal , obviously further up the pedal effort required is decreased... i didnt think about it when i fitted mine, justr made the rod level and makes they grey in my car feel very heavy and very on/off along with my padle clutch

Sounds like its an idea to have a few holes in hte pedal to change the leverage ratio,

if it was done right the 1st time i wouldnt have to re-drill, its ok driving normaly but i did L2B last year (or year before, cant remember) the traffic and having to slip that clutch swelled my knee up, when i went to get out the car i couldnt put weight on that leg for 10 mins or so

That is the opposite of the desired effect

I seriously doubt it!

I emailed sh and it says he doesn't do them anymore but should be able to put me contact with someone who does.

He said some of the migs used them with a grey and not alot of difference was noticed, which sounds good if Paul says the same!

The car doesn't see any road trips so shouldn't be an issue!
