not after the whole system, just the radiator from a chargecooler setup.

i actually want to use it as a secondary radiator plumbed in where the heater matrix would normally be but fitted to the front of the car for a bit of extra cooling.

the heater matrix itself at the front isnt going to do a great deal, and as im tight for space chargecooler rads are typically smaller than a full on rad but still much bigger than a heater matrix.

get one of a small motorbike. loads on ebay for not much money. have similar sized hose tails to the heater system too.

If you need a secondary rad surely you have a problem that needs sorting instead of treating the symptom

I seriously doubt it!

yes, i have the problem of taking a road spec cooling system round a race track!

the car runs perfectly fine on the road, the fueling is fine, the timing is fine etc etc etc, but when it gets to the track the side mount 2 core rad with a mechanical fan that was designed to be optimal at idle/low speed rpm's just cant cope with a 1380 being punished around a track for prolonged periods.

mini has always stayed nice and cool when motoring, even under some hard driving on my private back road *wink* , the revs do not see less than 4kRPM for a good couple of miles and its bang on, temp starts to creep up when in traffic, i then have the spi electric fan in the inner wing just flick a switch and jobs a good un.

what 2 core rad do you have?

Audi s4 b5 - 470bhp & 486ft lbs

like i said spirited road driving is fine, and high revs for a good couple of miles is fine, the car runs great, but driving flat out on full boost (give or take the odd corner) for 15-20miles is a slightly different situation.

even the miglia build specs for a 1293 130bhp car require a front mount metro rad as a minimum because a side mount wont cope and also mentioning that the metro rad still might not be man enough for the job in the summer (which is now).

I would have thought everyone on this forum knows that the mini isnt a one solution fits all, even some blocks randomly get hotter than others for no apparent reason. my car as been professionally setup on a rolling road, the same road that Matt Woods uses and another number of members on here.

I want an extra rad to help out with a bit of extra cooling when on track that its all, hence my wanted post.
