Has it been in a bump, the SRS unit once activated cannot be reset, or so I am told.

Is everything plugged in that should be, seatbelt tensioners, airbag?

from what iv read there quite a list that it could be:
Letting battery drain too low
Bad Sensor
Blown fuse
Unplugging the car’s battery
Removing the gauge cluster/installing aftermarket gauges
G-Force sensors
Bad clockspring (located inside your steering wheel)
Bad ECU
Bad reverse light switch on transmission
Car was in an accident
Airbag defective/unplugged
hope it helps

Done now needs redoing lol

Check all the above Steve. You could go to an ex-rover dealer and get it plugged in. Or take the bulb out *wink*

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

on some rovers you can bridge a few wires in a connecotr under the dash and get flash codes out the SRS, is this possible on the minis? may have jsut been the honda-rover cars.

Should be a 12v feed to the stalk on position one of the ignition, then back to the connectors to the rear loom on the bulkhead. might have a fuse on the mpi.
