I have overlooked these jets Joe, They are probably easier to fit. At the bmw garage they only came with these i have right now. These are from bmw m3 3.2 from 2009 model.

@ madmk1 : they cost 12 euro per piece

Oi thats my engine *tongue*

no idea on cost either as I paid for mine as an exchange in favor *happy*

The ones pictured in my block have to be the easiest to fit surely? one hole m8x1.0mm with a hole down into the oil gallery, then screw them in and position. Job done.

Not my idea or suggestion, It is Turbo Harry's honner.

Tonight i tested in an old block if the sprayer would fit. It is possible there is about 6 mm of flesh left. (See Picture)
But after seeing the other round m8x1 sprayer I'm doubting if i will use the ones i bought. If possible to swap them at the BMW garage i will.

On one of my engines I used ford ones which are similar to the ones you have, I used some sealer where they fit.

Although that block looks the nuts, I don't think that block will work. *oh well*

Here's my attempt and this didn't work, it was too restrictive, and yours looks very similar.

I've actually stolen your idea because it looked so clean. So i actually hope it will work with an attached breather box to one of the hoses.

Did you try this, and how did you fix it?

Yeah the hose at the back of my return block had a breather attached.

The problem I had was that I was returning the oil from the turbo and the oil from the head back to that block and there just wasn't enough volume in the block to cope. *oh well*

I ended up making a new return like this...All the pipes are about 22-25mm and this one works perfectly fine.

Ok, i just looked at specialist components breather box and from what i see there the block i made can work if i only connect 2 oil returns from head + oil return from front cover and attach a breather. Only thing then is to find a place for the turbo oil return hose. What do you think Matty?
Did you tried your block without the turbo oil return?

Something completely else: What about exhaust manifold, does the engine perform less when the manifold is not looking like spaghetti but more strait like the one in the picture?

I never tried it without the turbo return, so I couldn't commetn whether it was that or the head that had the most flow from it.

You could try running the turbo return through the block you have made, then return the oil from the front cover to the distributer hole? Either that or if you go for a side mount turbo you could return the oil through the transfer housing breather or dizzy hole.

As for manifolds, I have only ever tried the one I have so couldn't say what is better on not. As long as the pipes are a similar lengths and have no major restrictions you should be fine.
