ARP make studs for shaved heads and non shaved heads as they call them. I've got a set of non shaved ones that bottom out in the block before the UNC threads are fully covered. What do we think of using this?

Iv'e found there is usually wnough spare space in the bottom of the hole to tap a couple more threads in there, so that is what i would do,

Colin. The bolts seem to have seated fine I must say. I'm running them as is.

I have threads above the block deck with the BMW ARP studs on the race engine Vegard. Was not a problem according to Pål and the guys he ordered them from. |
