ARP make studs for shaved heads and non shaved heads as they call them. I've got a set of non shaved ones that bottom out in the block before the UNC threads are fully covered. What do we think of using this?
Should I hacksaw some mms off the UNC end, or use as is?

Never encountered this before.

leeds/wakefield.

Iv'e found there is usually wnough spare space in the bottom of the hole to tap a couple more threads in there, so that is what i would do,

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

Colin. The bolts seem to have seated fine I must say. I'm running them as is.

I ran a regular 3/8UNF tap down the block, and hey presto... That was easy Carl :) I refreshed the threads on beforehand, but didn't make any new ones..Now I did.

I have threads above the block deck with the BMW ARP studs on the race engine Vegard. Was not a problem according to Pål and the guys he ordered them from.

I must admit, I ground then down.....

When torquing up these new ARP head nuts. What's the torque setting with the new fancy lube? I seem to have lost the instructions...
