Hi folks,

I removed my diff side covers (if that's their name) as I had a bad oil leak the change the gaskets and spi.

Fitting them back I checked in my book for the bolt's torque and found out there is quite a complicated process to fit'em back as they are required for the diff bearing pre load.

Do you apply this process ?

I dont tend to If Ive just had the covers off (and not the diff) if I'm using a genuine gasket, and know there was a genuine gasket already on there.

It is not as complex as it sounds, but as above if just taking off and refitting it should be fine.

It's been off, thoroughly cleaned and on with new gasket from minispares, I'll try my luck then.

Thanks !
