Hi need a lil help *oh well*

I have a just bought a ERA, it drives and boost fine utill it gets warm *oh well* well the gauge is showing 90 c
Then just as it comes onto boost it starts missing, it has done 12000 miles from new and doesn't smoke at all,

Any ideas ? Hope its notting to bad !

Could be a Split part throttle lean off pipe.

The one that goes from one side of the carb to the top.

Also check that there's oil in the carb damper.

Part throttle lean off is the thin blue pipe in my picture, should be easy to find then :)

Cheers chaps, the one off the carb is blanked off and the one out the top is going to what I think is a bleed off thing ?

No it's not but i only picked it up on Tuesday ! And not a long test drive ! Doh !

put a new piece of pipe on as per carl's pic with some clips.

If its still the same try clamping the hose to block it and run it again.

Here's some pic's of how it is now with the bleed off thing ? were would i put the pipe coming from the waste gate to ?

I should have said it comes from the Wastegate Actuator

if that makes sense ?

I cant tell from the pic where it goes at the carb end. Is it on the manifold or carb? It looks like it's on the carb.

Either way. That pipe should be plumbed into the fiiting on the compressor housing.

In the 13's at last!.. Just

That is wrong that pipe should go from the actuator to the compressor housing, with the bleed valve fitted inline.

don't think who ever put that bleed thing on had a clude what they where doing ! they blocked the one off the compressor housing and took the waste gate pipe to the inlet manifold ! so i was getting full boost nearly a bar now i have 0.5 of a bar is that about rite ?

Cheers i'am at home now and the cars at work, I have the hose from the side carb going to the the front face were the carb bolts to the inlet manifold as in the first pic, the car now boost the about half a bar.

only trouble is i don't know how long it has been like it and how much damage its done ?, i read they have an over boost valve but when does it kick in 10 psi ? how much will a standard engine take ?
