Sounds a good idea.

I'm just a bit interested as to why you decided to make a website for that?

A friend of mine had a Mini stolen fraudulently, he accepted a bankers draft for ?5000 and going by the old saying "A bankers draft is as good as cash" allowed the bloke to drive the car away. The draft turned out to be fake. After much arguing with his insurance company he got paid out. The car turned up two years later on a forecourt in Kent. It was an R reg BRG Sportpack with the Mini Sport 90bhp kit, and classic style leather seats.

Needless to say, if you are selling a car, make sure the funds are clear in your bank before you let the car go.

the idea was simply to centralise stolen mini info, rather than having to round all the site clubs posting on the forums it'll be one place for all and international too. You can search by colour, reg, area, vin etc etc.

Its just an experiment so see what happens. Its free to use.

It could also be useful if you're looking at one for sale, and it appears to good to be true

the problem i have is i cant verify that each car thats reported as being stolen on the site, actually HAS been stolen, if u get my drift.

I'm pretty confident that the benefits of the site will be good enough to outweigh the 'problems'

Yeah, true. You have to make sure you have a disclaimer, but in all I can't see it doing any harm.
