right problem number two ! the car will rev though fine when not in gear but when you drive it and it goes to come up on boost it starts to miss, will drive fine not on boost ( under 3200 rpm)

any ideas ?

I'd definately start by looking at fuel pressure. It sounds like the float bowl is not pressurising. this could be caused by a blockage in the carb.

You could try the T-Piece trick, if this fixes it then you know where to look in the carb, i.e. the pressure feed to the float bowl from the plenum.

If not fuel pressure it could be ignition related, are you using a standard metro turbo dizzy? the modules can fail and give all sorts of wierd symptoms.

yes all of the above but if all other items check out OK ........

any! misfires under boost is caused by the mixture too weak................... an AEM lambda gauge is a must in a turbo engine

this beginning to really p**s me off now
had a look with a mate today and it ran fine !!!!!!!

should their be a filter before the fuel pump the only one i can see is on the bulkhead ?

i did that a couple of days ago, will give it a try over the weekend, some time the car is fine some days it's a real pig ! been fine for 2 or 3 days nows

evening chaps

well last nite at bout 7 pm me and some mates thought we would go to combe so we pulled the ERA out and it started to play up 5minutes late we had done the T piece trick and it ran fine all nite and all today ! yeah

I have one question if i may, is it ok to run this long term ?

If this is an ERA, have you still got the anti run on valve connected. This can fail to close and cause the problems you describe.
