Sometimes has a brown blob of paint on it.

Believed to be fitted to 998s. 1275s have the 2.45mm/green spring.

I'll take the whole clutch cover if you have it.

I'll check the 998 i have at yard at some point. Do you have a thicker one to swap with rather than buying?

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

Sure you got that the right way round? 998 brown, 1275 green? They are not the same as the pre verto colour coding.

Green - 998 - ??
Brown - 1275 - ~2.23mm
Dark Blue - Minispares - ~2.28mm
??? - Minispares uprated - ??
Light Blue - Turbo - ~2.54mm

Is it A-Series only? I think it should be...
So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

Not sure at all.

The two green ones I have are 2.45mm and are off 1990 Metro 1275s.

I also have a blue spring at 2.87mm !

How are you measuring these? since the spring is not flat, using a micrometer without a pointed nose or, using the fat part of a caliper's jaw will of course make the measurement larger.

I am confident that the figures I quote, measured with a Mitutoyo digital caliper, and so far, its been proven 100% acurate to the 10th of a mm
