Hey, thought id let you guys know, I sent my rear coilovers off to GAZ to be serviced. All went fine, got them back and they supplied new top bushes, the ones that sandwich the wheelarch. So I stuck them on the car, tightened the top nuts up to compress the bushes a little then went for a drive, all seemed ok. After covering a further 100 odd mile a knocking developed at the back. So on investigation, the lower of the two bushes had squashed to almost nothing, which 1. Loosened the whole assembly and 2. Lowered the rear a half inch, which I think youll agree is not to safe, especially when the rears running low anyway. So I guess, watch out for these shit quality bushes, they feel much softer than the ones I took off, and have a cylindrical appearance rather than a rounded one, heres a few pics…

What do you expect when resting the entire Mini's weight on a couple of rubber bushes?

Mine gets in the way a bit, but only when it is up. If it is down it does not cause a problem.

The ones on the left looks like I'd expect after tightening, the ones on the right looks like new.

I don't see the problem, nip them up, jobs a good one.

The one on the right has done at least 5000 miles, the left one has done less than 100, no problem?...the bush is allowing the washer to pull through it.

Have you actually contacted GAZ direct about this and given them chance to investigate/rectify your problem?

If you have then I am interested to know the responce from them. I have dealt with Warren Gazzard who is the top man and he went out of his way to help me out and sort out my issues. I cannot speak highly enough of the customer service I received.

If you have not contacted GAZ direct then I suggest you do so before bad mouthing them on the forums.
