G'day, i try'd to put the carbie on my inlet manifold today but the faces wouldnt match up, the spring loaded lever on the side of the carbie is hitting the inlet before the faces get any where near eachother. I dont know if the lever thats hitting is supposed to be attach to something else that will pull it out of the way............. but it doesnt look write. 998 turbo |

i think you might be better putting the carbie on the barbie anf having another tinnie .lol.
Everyone knows that instructions only have to be read if the thing doesn't work....

Me thinks iain is spot on-there should be a spacer between inlet and carb. -MINI CLUBMAN 1380 TURBO- |

normal hif one fits but you may have to file slightly the half moon bell crank for the throttle, thats what i had to do. always looking for them bigger bunches of bannanas |

there should be a spacer, my carb doesn't fit the manifold without one |

better yet, i'll make a dumbie spacer for the time being (i'm making an exhaust manifold and i need to mount all the inlet stuff first) and i'll try find one for sale.

Its a poxy looking black plastic spacer about 1/4" thick..............

id make one as most tend to go hard and crack anyway. its only a case of copying the carb or manifold flange. |
