If i get an MG metro engine, if i understand correctly, apart from changing head and poss. pistons it should be okay? And obvious stuff like carbs and dizzy. |

as far as i know, the block and crank is the same, the pistons are different, the cam is different (but aparently a very good upgrade for the turbo lump, standard is the same as the n/a non mg lump) the head is different, but im not entirely sure how...... i know it doesnt have the sodium filled exhaust valves but im not sure on other differences other than the fact that the compression is a lot higher on the mg lump than the turbo lump. this could be down to the pistons od the head, im not sure. gearbox is the same, end casing has a bigger bearing on the turbo, but the general concessus seems to be that this doesnt make any difference......
And on the 7th day........... God created turbochargers! |
