Who would be interested in a 2 door, 2.5litre turbocharged jap import?

Sadly not a sports car, but a nice cheap 4x4 Mitsubishi Pajero (aka an imported Shogun). I have owned this Pajero for over a year as a cheap daily and it has not missed a beat, it is incredibly slow but it always got me to my destination! :thumbsup:

Since owning it I have replaced all brake pads, changed engine, gearbox, transfer box, both diff oils, power steering and brake fluid.

Interesting points - Full winter pack (which includes heated fuel filter and twin batteries), limited slip rear differential (which helps if green laning or slippy ice), fully working digital compass (rare!)

Also if anyone was really keen I have a set of 3 piece polished split rims which I will also be selling.


Spec:

Year/Type: 1992 SWB Pajero

Colour: Grey (with patches of lacquer peel)

Engine/Gearbox: 2.5litre turbo diesel, automatic gearbox, transfer box with 2x4, 4x4, 4x4 locked center diff and 4x4 low ratio locked center diff

Milage: 99,500 - on the clock, I will check the import docs to see how much is in KM, but I have a feeling it works out to around 75k in miles.

Tax/Ticket: taxed till end of November, MOT expires next June (will confirm later)

Features: Climate control (air-con however leaks and is currently not working :(), rear heater, full winter pack , digital compass, tow bar, selca immobiliser, late model alloy wheels x4 (spare is the old style), A-bar, fog lights and underbody bash guard, electric adjustable dampers (one rear stepper motor adjuster currently not working)

Price: £1250 OVNO

Whats the choke cable for?

It is a manual hand throttle, most of the diesels have it.

Are the auto's any worse/better in snow than manuals??

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

I'd suggest they are better, nice smooth power delivery through a torque convertor. For some reason the import Pajeros tend to have a rear LSD, where as the UK Shoguns as mine is have a proper rear locking diff.

One of the outer rims has a nasty dent in it and therefore will not balance up (I used to run this on the rear!). I'm sure if you know anyone who may make split rims for a living he might be able to repair/replace this piece

Due to the rarity of these wheels (the only set I have ever seen in the uk) I think they are worthy of £200 in their current condition.

Also worth noting - the car was imported with 59km (36k miles) on the clock. At this point it was converted to MPH and has covered a further 40k miles to show 99k on the clock.

This is only 76k miles in total.

MOT expires 17th June 2012

Tax expires end of November.

Open to offers now, £1k would see this gone :(
