Hi!

I get a puff of blue smoke if the engie sat at idle for awhile (at lights p.e.) and I acclerate hard... Also on start-up from cold Iget a puff of blue smoke. But not under normal driving & acceleration...

I didn't fit stem sealsto the exhaust valves - could this be the reason? Also the guides are pretty worn, so the intake seals might have only a limited effect.

Could this be related, or is it rather the rings? :)

Engine is a n/a 998 'junk/spare' enginewith a 12G940, so nothing precious or expensive. I'm not worried. Oil consumption is normal, even when you conider how much oil it pisses on the drive way *hehe!*

It's just - I've never ran a engine without exhaust stem seals... :)

Cheers,
Jan

If the guides are worn then they will give you the smoke. You will be fine if not better without seals on the exhausts particularly on a turbo where the valves get warrm.
