I was planning on breaking this car up over the winter, but that would be a pity. We have just given it a full pre-MOT check and a bit of a spruce up for Stanford Hall tomorrow and it looks a treat.

Featured in Mini Mag last year.

It is fitted with EFi, running the MS2. Dual widebands etc.

Running a R5GT T2 at 0.8 bar boost. Dynoed at around 122hp a year ago and just done a few hundred miles since.

It has the Cooper S brake conversion, 10" Sc split rims, cooper interior, hi-los all round, adjustable camber whotsits, quickshift, MP3 CD player.

Bad points... it is very rusty. It will need a new front end, new sills, doors and boot lid very soon. The rims leak and need inflating before use.

MOT test is due on Wednesday, no reason why it should not pass.

Looking for around £4000.00. It will cost me that to replace the parts that I need to fit on the new cars.

If you don't understand the EFi stuff then this car is not for you.

Well, it failed the MOT on a few minor items plus the dreaded sills.

The previous owner had fitted the dreaded oversills, so no doubt there are many hidden delights.

So the car will be broken up. I'll post up the remnants for sale in the future.

Ahh bollocks, we'll have to get another turbo mini on the road soon, need to keep terrorising the people on the test track :(

It could be fixed in a couple of weekends, but I need your car off the ramp first.

I agree Andy, not an easy decision.

The problem is that we have three other road going Minis, all due to be either turboed, injected or both. All in better condition than this one.

We need to lose at least one Mini, so this is the one to go.

I'm getting enquiries for parts from this car.

If I do decide to break it up, then all that we will not use ourselves will be the shell and a few minor items.

To be honest my heart is currently holding out very well and my head may well concede defeat :)

Although the other shells are better than this one, there is a lot of work to tranfer everything over. It may be easier to just repair this one.

Still leaves us with too many Minis :(
