I would like to keep the hinges, the "bonnet pins" are just to keep the bonnet down on the ground (because my bonnet likes to open at 90mph).

Here's how I have done mine, you will have to mount yours more on the top if using your hinges to allow the bonnet to close.

if you want to use the pins in the photo with the bonnet still on hinges, you are going to have to fit them up on the top of the bonnet before it curves down to the grille. There are other types of fitting you could use that would allow the bonnet to open on the hinges but i'll not go into them right now.

You mount the 2 small seperate prices onto your bonnet, and the 2 springs on your front panel, then they hook over to close. Audi s4 b5 - 470bhp & 486ft lbs

An option is to get the extra bits that allow the bonnet pins to be sunk into the bonnet. Easy on a clubby.. less on a round nose.

Ive seen the round based bonnet pins on the very front used, and just the opening filed down a bit to allow the pins to slide through when theyre bolted to the top of the slam panel. If i see my mate soon ill get a pic up. On 26th Jan, 2012 Tom Fenton said:
