maybe - but more breathers the better.

Why not mod it?

All i do is (after removing it) take a hacksaw down the side of the breatherpipe, and all the way through the can.
Then cut a thin piece of rectangular sheet metal to the correct size. Next, buy two of those stainless pan scrubs from wilko's for a quid - or less if you shop around (to replace the rusting mess that fell out). Stuff the scrub in the can, then weld the steel plate over the top!

Bosh!

No more fan spacers needed (and easy radiator removal from then on)

not going to run a side rad so no need for me, but if i was i would run one, then pipe it to the rocker cover and have that piped to a catch tank. much neater

Point taken - but why not use the breather can/flame trap to actually stop the majority of the oil mist actually getting upto the catch tank?

You won't be saying 'much neater' when you have a nice film of oil over your engine bay after ragging it round combe for 20 laps! LOL!

no oil was coming from my turbo, it was all breathers! mainly the breather near the rad as I forgot to put a pipe on it, so the fan was sucking all the air from the breather, and blowing it around the engine bay. The other breather on the flywheel housing had no pipe on it either, it's still doesn't actually, another job for me

aaahh - so you don't have even a basic 1275 one...

No reason why you couldn't mod a 998 one to put a breatherpipe on there... As you have to mod the 1275 one to clear the fan anyway, i'd just stick a pipe on a 998 one.
