What car is that intercooler from? Looks like a very nice fit in a round nose.

How fast do you make the charger spin? And how much psi does it make with that? Grts

you can do anything if you set your mind to it...
i rather blow it up winning than keep it together losing.

How about now?
I am using Hotmail SkyDrive and have to choose a sharing option.
Now made the folder public instead of only visable for people that use a certain link.. (?)

IT stuff, I am glad I am (a bit) better with welder and spanner...

Info I got from Stuart was with MPI crank pulley and std M45 pulley around 13 psi @6000rpm and 15@ 7000rpm.
Although I do think this is on a suckthrough set-up so might be somewhat lower on blow through.

The big pulley or the works pulley? And do they have the same groove or did you have one made up?

I guess the normal pulley.
Multi-V should be fine.

I did have a pulley made for the SC to reduce rpm but from what I learned from Stuart that was not needed.
Ones the engine is run in I plan to put the original back on.

this might be a sill qustion but are charges like turbos in the way it take an amount of rpm to make bost? for instance dose the charger make bost allmost at idle? or dose it have to spin more to make bost?

Superchargers boost from moment engine starts as its being turned over by the engine :)

so you have a much more useable boost range the whole rpm range is on boost?

how about snowmobile pulleys they change size depending on rpm? lol
so what really needs doing is to spin the charger less at low rpm and more at higher rpm but in a non Lilian fashion

I think the reason it drops off at high revs is more to do with the fact that most super chargers reach a point where it doesn't matter how much faster you spin them they just end up creating heat rather than boost.

A bit of progress:

Finalysed the fixation of manifold of the suction side to SC.
Tacked clutch side strap to allow for final adjustment if needed.

Also disassembled the S setup to refurbish (I did take the bearing out aswell).

While taking the callipers appart found that the bolt that connect the two halves only screws into other side 2-3 winding.... Is this the way it is out of the factory?

Bedankt Bas!
Don't hold your breath; time available for the car is very limited so progress is ever so slow.
But happy to share thoughts and findings.

Goed bezig *wink*
A supercharger is really fun!!! Especially low rev torque is great!

Another bit of progress.

A fuel 'rail' made, need to add a small champfer and fixation to manifold but it fits:

(In the picture it looks much closer to bodywork than actually is)

Am going to get some stuff zinq plated so thought I'd pull the 4 pots I have appart too.
Callipers were in pretty bad state, had to pull some pistons out with a bit more effort:

Inside of the callipers look fine so will go ahead and get them plated.

Bit of progress before life has thrown me a curve ball and relationsh!t happend...

Tack welded return tube; looks good to me:

Fixing a pulley to the distribution cover, need to cut off excess bits and do some proper welds, ligning up square and flat was bit of work but worked out fine:

Upgraded the 940 'switch-type' TPS to 850 'full-angle' TPS sensor:

Fitted grubscrews for oil gallery plugs:

Made a bit for ACV:

Although it needs some finishing toughes I'm quite chuffed with finale result; started off looking like this:

Should fit in like this:

Last picture, blasted some component for plating:

Not quite sure how progress will go; guess we'll have to see.
Thanks for watching,
Han

Edit: for once you would think I could do this properly in 1 go.... pffff

Found some motivation to get go into garage.

Need to finish (tack) welding everything in place so I can take engine and subframe out and get started on that.

This is how I got the parts back from electroplating; very nicely done, that for E45....! *Clapping*

Made a bracKet for throttle cable orientation; modified a bulkhead bit from Festo, works a treat:

Now a question:
I need to place the IAT sensor somewhere, I know it needs to be somewhere behind the TB, but will the signal suffer if it is pretty close to the TB?

Alternatively (prefered) I could position it into a bend, most flow will follow outer radius but I suppose that doesn't affect charge temperature and/or reading on inner radius..... or does it?
