Hi, im in the process of restoring my 86 mayfair and my plan for the engine was to go forced induction, i have collected a good few of the parts needed for the turbo build and i was on the look out for an intercooler and i came across one but i think it might be a bit on the small side.
Im sticking with the 998 engine, its for road use so plan to aim for around 90ish bhp with 10psi of boost .

The core size is 105mm high x 290mm long x 45mm deep and has 2" inlet and outlet.

Is this too small if its placed directly in the airstrem.
Also does the length of the piping to and from the intercooler make any difference, would you loose temperature or pressure.

I realise similar questions have come up but just wondering would it be ok on a smaller 998 engine with lower bhp.

any intercooler is better than nothing unless it is stupidly restrictive,

for a 998 I think that will be good,

2" piping is plenty, but wont really lose much heat.
