Hi All

Right i've done some searching and well i havent really found any definate correct things to check so figured i'll start something that way if anyone else searches its all in one place.

so i've looked here http://www.turbo-mini.com/9764/index.html its been pretty useful and will look over to double check later but im not conviced this is my issue.

basically i cleaned the carb the other evening and yes there was lots of shite in the float bowl but now thats gone. i've got oil in the dash pot and thats all on correctly.

everything is plumbed in correctly as per a piccy i got balance pipe linked together and the one thats supposed to be blanked off blanked off.

the car starts when on choke but the minute i try to rev it it stutters and if i drop the choke it just stalls it wont even idle. my fuel is set to about 3.5 psi on the reg.

later i'm gonna try adjusting the mixture screw although i'm not sure which one is the idle or mixture atm :S and i dont have a tm haynes manual so flying blind here.

i'm also wondering if the piping i have for the MAP sensor for the MJ may squish itself when reving but i'll also check this later.

am i missing anything.....praying no air leaks or how i check for those except throw soapy water over the thing which seeing as its not been cleaned in a while i'l worried it may disolve!

easy way to check for air leaks is by spraying carb cleaner at wherever it could be leaking, usually manifold gasket.

well i got it idling ish, tighten'd up the manifold studs, re sealed the bit your meant to block off as it wasnt as sealed as it could be and also checked the vacum hose and i think its ok......its sold as a vacum hose so should be up to the job.

i'll upload some vids and piccys to my project page http://www.turbominis.co.uk/forums/index.php?p=vt&tid=301122

only thing is i think the mixture screw is fully tightened :/

i'll have a bit of a better look at the thing sunday during the morning, my oil pressure is also at about 30-40 at idle which i think is ok
