West Sussex - dreaming of forced induction!

Whats the best one to use with a megajolt system???

I dont have access to a lathe or anything like that to machine a bottom pulley so was looking at the MED or Specialist Components ones, either one better than the other?!?!?!?!?!

Personally I would be going for the Tom Fenton™ machined crank damper and matching sensor bracket.

However if you are definately going for either the MED or SC one items, I personally prefer the design of the MED one (however the price is higher).

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

When I was in the market for one tom was in the middle of getting the tooling to do his own on his mill, there was about 2weeks wait, he may have sorted it now?

I am also after a trigger wheel/pulley as the machine shop doing my engine has just requested one to use when balancing the crank.

Really want the med pulley but £205 for the pulley and sensor bracket does seem a lot !

Should i suck it up and get one or are one of the other ones available (specialist components, KAD, trigger wheels) as good for less money ?

If you have one of any of these what has your experience been like ?

Also, some of these say the 'missing' tooth needs to be removed on aplication. If the machine shop balances the pulley/crank then when i assemble it i remove a tooth will this put the balance out by much ?

Will i need to remove it before balancing ?

thanks :)

Will my project ever be finished !!? hopefully you guys can help !
Its only been like 10 years in the making and I'm only just assembling my engine!

Guy at the machine shop said he gets discount at med so have gone for their pulley but will make up my own sensor bracket to save some money.

anyone know anymore about the balancing ?

I bought my megajolt kit from trigger wheels.com, just had to alter the senser bracket. Everything in there to do the job for around 330 pounds

If you go for a machined standard "A+" damper pulley, buy a new one first. Second hand ones are three out of four times rubbish.

If the tooth you remove is in iron/steel I'd definitely have it balanced again. If not doing this, why bother with balancing anything?

I use the specialist components trigger wheel, but with ford sensor. failing that I'd use the med damper kit.
